Some nursing homes are bad and some are good but none are perfect. When I put my beloved grandma in the nursing home I felt very guilty and was very angry that I wasn't able take care of her at home myself. I want my grandma to have the best so if it wasn't perfect when I visit her I'd raise heck with everyone there. After going to therapy, I learned my anger and guilt was misplaced. When I accepted the reality of the situation and started talking to the right people things improved. Its better to be part of the solution than part of the problem. I love my grandma and I do know if I suspected she was ever mistreated or exploited at this location or any other nursing home I would not leave her there and complian…I'd move her to a safe place fast!
