Monday 03/26/2012 at approx 0800, my mother Lola Benitez was sent to the ER at Covenant Hospital for replacement of her feeding tube. The surgery was completed by 1100 the same day. She was released from the hospital , but Heritage Oaks could not pick her up and return her to the nursing home due to some failure on their part of overbooking patients. This is totally un-exceptable for a business that has been evaluated as one of the highest health care facilities in Lubbock. My mother was laying in that hospital for 7 -8 hrs before we (the immediate family) were notified about the problem. I even requested courtesy calls from both the nursing home and hospital to let me know when she was picked up and safely delivered, but received nothing. I'm appalled that this type of service is condoned in the City of Lubbock. My parents have spent their whole life there and should be treated properly. Please do your best keep this from happening again. Thanks.
