This place should be called DIS-grace NO-care Center. One star is too high for them.
If you truly want your loved one properly taken care of, then please AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. They are not only unprofessional and incompetent, but borderline criminally negligent and racist (I'll get to that in a minute).
My wife's uncle, who is battling cancer, was taken there on a Friday a week ago and he had to be transferred out the following Tuesday because the care was so poor. The entire time he was never seen by a doctor nor had blood drawn for any tests. When he arrived on Friday he asked for a TV remote--it was delivered on Sunday. He never had a telephone because the wall jack was broken and never repaired. Not once in the four days did they attempt to help give him a bath or shower. On Saturday he called multiple times for help to go to the bathroom, and they never showed up. He couldn't stand it any longer, so he practically dragged himself to the bathroom, and when trying to grab the bar next to the toilet for leverage, the bar came out of the wall. While he was on the toilet, the help FINALLY came and he was told to wipe the best he could. He then overheard the nurse (who was black) tell her co-worker, "I ain't going to wipe a white man's ass."
My wife's friend had a similar harrowing experience here with her mother. At one point they put her in an ambulance to a non-existent doctor's appointment because they had the wrong patient. They put her on the ambulance with a nightgown only--no robe, no shoes. Her mother, who suffers from dementia, had no clue where she was going or what to do. It took them a while to track her down.
If you want your loved one taken care of, LOOK ELSEWHERE.
