Review of The Concierge

Ok-- so upon entering this place, one would think that it was a palace--beautiful decor. However, like a person putting on a facade, there is, unfortunately," more than meets the eye". The staff can barely speak English-- top priority for them is standing in the dining room gossiping and texting on their phones. They neglect the patients. We got smart about it and hired additional, personal help when we witnessed "behind the scenes". My mom was admitted for a minor infection and thank goodness we had private help. The staff over there never came in to check on her--they left her lying in her bed and never even bothered to change her clothes (she had spilled milk on herself one day and was soaking wet upon the arrival of our personal caretaker. She was lying in her bed soaking wet for over two hours ! When we called to voice a complaint, the manager snubbed his nose and blew us off. He didn't give a darn about the situation. Our caretaker and family was there a lot, and not ONCE did anyone check on my mom in the room. When she was dismissed, the staff stood there and twiddled their thumbs. Most of the staff is not certified to do anything except gossip and check their texts. Seems like a bunch of idiots running the place who don't give a darn about the patients in any way. It's just money making institution that is ripping of the public in a most pitiful way. If you want your loved one to pass fast, this is the PERFECT place to put him/her. This place needs a serious investigation from the Texas Board of Examiners. It is a pitiful sight and a sad commentary on how a place provides inhumane treatment of the patient and the family members, and gets away with it---DISGUSTING !
