Review of Park Manor of Cyfair

You have got to be kidding! Park Manor does not even provide the basics. Like encouraginf Pt to eat, taking uot dentures at night, and prompt care of bed sores. Communication between staff doctors and family is non-existant.The few staff that really care don't stay long.

Agree. What I have learned is you must have your own doctor. Aids dont take initiative in communicating with nurses if they see a resident's health decline. Dehydration and eating can occur if you arent of sound mind as the aids dont have time to make sure you eat as much as you should.

Clean and staff is nice. It is a nursing home. What i have learned is that I DONT want to be in a nursing home. I have bought enough Longtermcare coverage to stay out of one.

It can take them a while to realize that you are getting dehydrated and not eating. Nice staff. It is a nursing home! They are nice, clean, dress you, make sure your room is clean, make sure they give you the food. ALL nursing home residents need to have an advocate or a family member near by. The Aids dont communicate a change in a resident well being early enough. So sad to hang around a nursing home.

So---in comparison to other places---they are good. It is better for someone who doesnt have family to check on them to be here cause there is no other alternative. But---- IT IS A NURSING HOME. You have to have someone who helps you make sure you are OK and to bring to the staff attention when yiou arent.
