My experience with Corpus Christi Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has been very disappointing. Our elderly mother was in this facility for approximately 8 months and some of our concerns were:
* The staff failed to change her diaper and although my mother could still use the restroom and we asked the staff to take her they would tell us to tell our mother for her to do it in the diaper.
* They suggested that our mother be sent to the Pysch ward at Memorial because she was being difficult…when she was admitted they found that she had a urinary track infection and they refused to take her back unless we could provide 24 hr. care for her.
The staff is very unhappy because they have had very poor management at the facility. We finally moved our mother to another nursing home that takes so much better care of our mother. I got tired of the lies from staff and management.
If anyone would like to call me, including someone from Corporate I would be glad to sit down and discuss the problems….and offer some suggestions.
