Family member was there 72 hours. Couldn't get the plugged toilet fixed. Couldn't get the porta-pot emptied. Nursing staff didnt seem to care. Could not get meds administered timely. Family member had to wet the bed and lay in it two nights in a row then had a serious fall trying to go to bathroom alone at night due to staff ignoring call for assistance. Staff mis handled the fall and refused to call 9-1-1 or a doctor as the patient demanded. Staff ignored significant bleeding from bowell then flushed evidence immediately after being told not to. I had to have an ambulance come take her out of there.

The place is a total disgrace to health care. I wouldn't board a dog that I didn't like there even if it does smell like a kennel.

This facility is really not that bad. There has been some problems in which I had to address, but was taken care of. This is my husband's second stay, and I have seen some tremendous changes since the last time. My concern is just the week ends. Seemingly, theres not enough staff to cover. The call light stays on a long time, and when someone finally comes in, the light is turned off, and is told they will be back. but does not return. The room is kept clean during the week, but weekends, they are not cleaned. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

My mother was in this nursing home and no nursing home is perfect or exactly how you would want it to be for your loved one. My mother was there from July to September 2011. I did have situations that I found myself totally losing control and screaming at the staff. That did seem to work, sad as it is.

From day one they never got her meals correct. She was no longer on a soft food diet and they continued to give her the soft food even after being told over and over that she could eat REAL food. I ended up taking her most all of her meals because she wouldn't eat their food. She needed all the calories she could get even though she is diabetic so I gave her whatever she wanted. My sister and I took turns taking her food and friends would drop by with some sweets for her too. The place is spotless, the staff is friendly, even if they aren't the best trained staff I've ever dealt with. I understand that since my mother's stay there, they have made some much needed changes. I would take her back there if needed as they are far better than any of the other nursing homes my dad was in or that I've visited myself.
