When your loved one becomes more work for them, they will find an excuse to send them to the hospital, then refuse to let them return to the nursing home.
Staff only wants to do the minimum amount of work. And they can be very nasty with the residents.
Absolutely, do not leave anything of value there. They robbed my mom blind of all the jewelry in her jewelry box and even some loose change she had.
