My mother was placed here in April 2012. Had to have constant meetings with staff to make sure she was being well cared for. Not the case. He ended up with a bed sore. When asked how this could happen if proper care was given, I was told by the one of nurses this happens. Found out she was not on an air mattress from the begninning of her stay. She was in great pain. A short time after this, she devloped a feeding tube infection and had to be moved to Shadyside Hospital. She eventually passed away on May 17, 2012. I was never given any sympathy for her passing. No one contacted us regarding this. There is insufficent staffing of nurses per floor in my opinion from what I have seen. I would have chosen somewhere else to have her but she was on a vent. Will not recommend this facility to anyone.
