State currently has fines against this place of $3000.00 per day and things are still not being changed. It has been over a year now that this facility has been open for business. Multiple administrators have tried unsuccessfully to make this place better. The main problem with this place is its management, Stonegate out of Lewisville, Texas and this place's owner(s) that care more about profit than residents.
The staff is inadequate for this type of facility and many oversights are still occurring. Supplies are NOT kept stocked, from needed pain medicine, all the way down to sheets and blankets are not provided by this facility, in a timely manner. Stay away if at all possible. One needs pain meds every four hours, well that is TOO BAD. One needs something done when it is meal time; well that is TOO BAD also.
Try to get HOT food delivered from the cafeteria to your room, not going to happen.
Cafeteria food is substandard also. The combinations that are provided in the meals looks like whatever is left over in the kitchen that day. Chili macaroni or grilled cheese sandwich for the main course???
If you do plan to go, ensure a family member can come up and provide you with your care.
