My grandmother had to go there for a week after being in the hospital. The place itself is beautiful. Plenty of art, sculptures, vases, and fancy paintings. Too bad they won't invest that much into ensuring the quality of the care their staff members provide. The nurse's aides were always hiding and one even got an attitude when my grandma asked her for help with the covers while she was getting into the tiny, stiff, uncomfortable bed. The aide asked "Who helps you get into bed at home?", to which my grandmother answered "Nobody"… so she didn't get any help there either!?!?!!! She was at this place because she had a bad skin infection of the leg from having diabetes and sleep apnea. Then they FORGOT to give my grandmother her ANTIBIOTIC one of the days during her stay. My grandma was ignored when she asked why, so my aunt came in and told them to get the nurse responsible on the phone if she wasn't there. The nurse claimed she thought my grandma was getting oral antibiotics, since I guess the IV hook up in her arm was merely a fashion accessory and the IV tower next to her bed must just be there for show???? Quite the wtf moment. My grandma put her nurse light on for something to drink and after waiting patiently for 3 hours, walked down the hall to see where everyone was. There are people here that can't walk and there were many lights on for many rooms that nurses were IGNORING! The aides were all hiding and there was one nurse there at the desk that finally gave her something to drink, after she had to suffer the hassle of getting out of bed and walking on her bad leg (which was the reason she was there in the first place) all over the place for help. For $7,000+ a month, I think our elders DESERVE better!!!!! My grandmother wasn't exactly disabled in the ways that many there are, and her stay was only temporary. THANK GOD. I felt the need to warn others about this place since these people aren't all able to care for themselves, as the nurses wish they could. Don't send someone you LOVE to this merciless prison PLEASE! We have contacted the administrator and I heard that the nurse's aide that had an attitude problem was let go… but who knows really.

I agree the administer at the Parma manor is about money. She is by far as fake as they get.
fyi the administrator couldnt care less. her goal is to keep the beds filled with paying patients. money is the prime directive. they will lie to keep you there as long as possible and deliberitely short staff to save money. that bad attitude comes from the top down.
