Review of Select Specialty Hospital-Cleveland

5 Star User Review

Worst possible care. The laziest employees who spent the majority of their day on their cell phones. Call light in my sister's room would go unanswered until I would actually go find help. Everyone from the DON to the aides seemed to be put out when asked a question on my sister's care. The Cleveland Clinic recommended this facility for ease to get back and forth for dialysis. It is not worth it. I would rather drive the two hours than subject my sister to insufficient care and lack of compassion.

so sad to see how these nurses treat these patients and their families. They do not welcome patients families because there the ones looking for them when calls go unanswered. The nurses and Don hide in room at end of hall and watch tv. if you complain they will find a way to discharge. They deny meds without dr. older and talk about the dr.s to families. They seem to think they can do a better job than the dr. Yet the whole place is a unprofessional mess

I agree: I wouldn't leave a parakeet there overnight (if I even had one). My bed-ridden husband who was recovering slowly from an extremely complicated organ transplant, was left with everything he needed on the other side of the room, bedrails down, and he fell out of bed, breaking his right shoulder and collarbone, plus multiple hematomas, head wound, split open elbow and bashed knee. This doesn't even consider the number of time I was there, when he had to sit in feces for over an hour with a bad bedsore from the Clinic (that insisted this was the ONLY place they would release him to), and call lights that go unanswered, patients screaming for help who had their call lights on for hours. Unidentified aides come in, never introduce themselves, and say, "What do you want?" Then they turn the call light off, and it can be hours before the requested respiratory therapist, RN or aide comes back (if they even do) to assist with your issue.

Wretched place.
