After using a different facility, one in which my Grandmother broke her wrist within 24 hours (not set up with needed bed monitor), we were extremely pleased with her stay at Mt Washington Care Center. Staff was welcoming and even loving. She felt like she was among old family and friends, with more activities than she could even choose from! She was well cared for, again not as though she were a burden but truly caring attitude. Just a few noteworthy examples: A pressure point sore was healed within two days after the RN ordered a special gel cushion for her seat. (We had been advised to apply medication to the site, but it kept reappearing- it's now gone!) Her aide spoke lovingly to her as she fixed her hair after a bath. My Grandma and the facility were always clean, and when a piece of molding came loose at the bottom edge of the carpet (in doorframe), maintenance was there within minutes to secure the strip back in place. I could not recommend any place more wholeheartedly!
