Review of Sunnybrook Rehabilitation Center

5 Star User Review

My father has been a resident of Sunnybrook since a brain surgery in March of 2010. He arrived by ambulance on his birthday, and was greeted by several members of the staff with balloons-singing Happy Birthday as they met. It made quite an impression on him - and me as well. From day one, the Sunnybrook nursing staff has treated father with respect and dignity - as if he were a member of their own family. They're very intuitive when it comes to noticing small changes in father's physical health and day-to-day mental state, as well as changes in eating habits, and promptly communicate any concerns they may have. Even with a diminished presence, father notices the kind words, the caring, nurturing manner, and appreciates the dignity he is shown by these professionals. The executive director and the director of nursing put a lot of effort into quality staffing from the business office to the nurses, all the way to the activities department. The overall feel of Sunnybrook is a peaceful environment where healing can begin, and great care is taken of everyone, from long-term residents, to short-term rehab patients, thanks to a top quality staff that truly love their work.
