Review of Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis

2 Star User Review

I feel this facility is attractive in appearance, clean in the entrance, but as you enter the Long Term Care area, the odor of urine is almost breath taking. The rooms seem to be cleaned regularly, with clean floors, but the patient's incontinence pads in the bed are apparently not changed when soiled. I feel that the patient's diapers are changed, but they're often left lying on the soiled pads. Several times, while visiting, other visitiors reported the horrible odor in the 600 hall. Inspectors came immediately, as if it was a gas odor, simply to confirm that it was urine and feces odors. They are "understaffed", with only two CNAs to cover 3 halls, most of the time, in the evening. They do as good of a job as possible, but definitely need more workers to take care of the patients.
