The lack of service and poor quality of care provided at Central Island are obviously consistent with those provided at similar for-profit institutions across the US. Beware! Don't ever bring your loved one or even yourself to Central Island!
Many of the staff (including those in the administration) wear phony smiles, but please, don't be fooled by them. All they're interested in doing is the minimum. They do not have the recovery and rehabilitation of the patients entrusted to them on their minds!
You're lucky if you find an RN on a floor housing patients, and when you do, they're rarely eager to help a patient in need. They simply find an excuse to give a family member who is looking for assistance on behalf of a patient.
Those interacting with patients are primarily LPNs (Licensed Practicing Nurses) and not RNs (registered nurses); they are as slow as molasses, not especially caring and have ATTITUDE to boot. Their medical knowledge is limited and they are prone to making serious medical mistakes.
I've given Central Island a one-star rating, but if I could, I'd give them nothing short of a ZERO!
