I have been a patient at special care for quite some time. I have been trying to transfer out from the day i arrived. The foul mouthed patient staff was the first sign something was wrong. The lack of caring for patients seems to be their standard operating procedure. While i was there i had a substance abuse counselor display a knife in a threatening manner. It was captured on video and then tried to get swept under the rug. When i first arrived $900 cash went missing from my locker and a witness had seen the director of substance abuse remove it. I had to fight to get it back and eventually i did. Stealing by staff in ongoing. Other things have happened. I can make a extensive list. I have tried relentlessly to leave and received excuse after excuse. One final thing that bothers me greatly is the physical abuse to the extremely elderly who can't fight back. At least 2 to 3 people are fired per month for physical abuse. If you don't mind being chronically lied to and you don't mind being abused verbally and physically then this is the place for you!
