The facility takes up 3 blocks of a neighborhood and has only 1 entrance and exit. The have permanently sealed the sliding doors in the front to conserve heating and conditioning which, is an inconvenience to families members, stretcher bound patients, wheelchair repents, co-workers. pretty much anyone who visits the facility whether its to visit or an emergency operator. They no longer provide security staffing for the greenwall facility located on University ave and this is why it is CLOSED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC!!!!! They claim that its budget cuts but entering the building you have 2 or 3 guards on 1 post in which makes absolutely NO SENCE. i will try my hardest to continue writing to DOH and 311 on this inconvenient matter….hopefully something will be done by the end of this year….My message to Jewish Home (BRONX DIVISION CENTER) if you guys make decisions on budgeting the facility…. dont do cut backs where its going to affect those whom visit nor work for you!!!! with OUT our family members present their your facility would not be funded!!!!!! it affects us all when u guys make very poor operating decisions….
