Review of Merwick Care & Rehabilitation Center

My father entered this facility the end of March in sub acute care and supposed to move over to LT Care. There is an abundance of turnover of aides and staff which quantifies why there is not enough caring and qualified staff to take care of the patients. If an aid who is doing a good job, questions some of the unhealthy practices, they are written up.

PT was provided to my father for a brief period and it was not long enough to get him to move beyond some of his challenges.

The food is another major problem for all the patients. My father is losing weight since he is not able to eat the food.

There is not enough staff around to ask questions after hours and most of the time no one at the nurses station.

My father likes his regular aides, but we are all concerned about his future here.
