BED SORES 1 OF 2 REASONS WHY THEY GET THEM
1. NOT BEING MOVED ENOUGH - GENERALLY EVERY 2 HRS IS STANDARD
2. BEING LEFT WET WITH URINE
OR 3 BOTH!!!
You should not have to ask for your loved one to receive Meds when they are clearly sick. They are around nurses and aides everyday and Dr.' 2x's per week and by the way, they are in A HEALTHCARE FACILITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If your loved is red and sore in their genitalia areas and has been Dr ordered to have cream used on their genitalia then that is in fact what should be done. Not here, you must ask if they are using it and see to it that they do, and if it runs out you must remind nurse to order it or it does not get ordered! Left hand does not seem to know what the right is doing. Communication levels between Aides and Nurses and Nursing Superiors is broken down.
Speaking of communication, the interaction between aides and patients is next to nothing, zero, zip. The are in and out in a flash and sometimes not uttering more than 1,2,3 stand up and are you done ready to go back. If a patient cannot take themselves to an activity then they are not taken, in other words they are left by themselves, to ponder life I guess, all day long with very very minimal interaction. WHAT??????? STOP THIS LUDICROUSNESS!!!!
LET US NOT FORGET THE PATIENTS ARE THE REASON THEY HAVE JOBS!
LET US NOT FORGET THE REASON THEY TOOK THE JOB OR SUPPOSEDLY TOOK THE JOB IN THE FIRST PLACE, LOVE OF CARING FOR OTHERS!
LET US NOT FORGET THAT THIS FIELD TAKES COMPASSION AND UNDERSTANDING!
LET US NOT FORGET THAT THERE IS A LONELY SOLE IN THAT ROOM WHO NEEDS TO BE RECOGNIZED!
LET US NOT FORGET THE PERSON IN THAT ROOM/BED IS A HUMAN BEING!
LET US NOT FORGET THAT THE PERSON IN THAT ROOM.BED DID NOT ASK TO BE BROUGHT THERE!
LET US NOT FORGET THAT IF THE PATIENT COULD CARE FOR THEMSELVES THEY WOULD!
LET US NOT REPLACE PATIENT TIME AND INTERACTION AND COMMUNICATION AND CARING WITH PAPERWORK!!!!
PAPERWORK SO THEY CAN GET PAID FOR A LESS THAN SATISFACTORY JOB!!!!!!!!!I THINK NOT!!
I CANNOT BELIEVE THE PAPERWORK BEING DONE IN A WORLD OF TECHNOLOGY AT YOUR FINGERTIPS! WHO IS RUNNING THE SHOW HERE????? WHY OR BETTER WHO WOULD MANDATE PAPERWORK MORE IMPORTANT THAN A LIFE? WHO WOULD NOT GET UP TO SPEED WITH TECHNOLOGY AND USE RF SCANNERS, BARCODES, TO ENTER TASKS - A SIMPLE FIX:
MAKE OF LIST OF DAILY DUTIES OF AIDES - USE A BARCODE FOR EACH TASK AND USE THE RF SCANNER TO SCAN THE TASK- THE AIDE CARRIES THE RF SCANNER AND AS EACH TASK IS COMPLETED THEY SCAN THE TAG FOR THE TASK AND THESES SCANS CAN NOW BE CONNECTED WITH EACH PATIENTS RECORD AND ALL IS AT YOUR FINGERTIPS. YOU CAN DO DAILY, WEEKLY, MONTHLY, QUARTERLY EDITS AND REPORTS. DO THE SAME FOR THE NURSES, THE MEDICINE PEOPLE, LAUNDRY, CLEANING - EVERYTHING
NOW GRANTED TO DO THIS IT WOULD TAKE SOME TIME BUT ONCE COMPLETE THE REST WOULD BE A BREEZE EVERYDAY SCAN YOUR DUTIES WHICH YOU WOULD THEN SIGN INTO THE COMPUTER UPLOAD YOUR TIME AND UPLOAD THE SCANNED INFO INTO THE COMPUTER OR BETTER YET THE NURSES WOULD DO IT SO THEY CAN SEE OF ALL IS BEING DONE PROPERLY, IN A TIMELY FASHION, ETC….
THIS IS A NO BRAINER!!!
THIS LEAVES A PARAMOUNT OF TIME AVAILABLE TO CARE FOR THE PATIENT WHO GOT FORGOTTEN AND WHO BY THE WAY AGAIN IS THE REASON THEY HAVE THE JOBS. THE ONE YOU REPLACE WITH PAPER????????????
LET'S NOT WATCH OUR LOVED ONES GO DOWNHILL BECAUSE THEY ARE LOST AND ALONE AND UNCARED FOR PROPERLY, IN THESE PLACES. DUE TO INEFFICIENT CARE AND PAPERWORK.
LET'S NOT LET THE SYSTEM MANDATE HOW MANY AIDES ARE ENOUGH WHEN IT IS CLEARLY IDENTIFIABLE THERE IS NOT ENOUGH HELP!
LETS NOT LET THE SYSTEM TELL US THAT PAPERWORK IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A HUMAN LIFE!!!?????
LETS NOT TRY TO GET SO MANY BREAKS THAT YOU HIRE MAJORITY FOREIGN WORKERS THERE SHOULD BE AN EVEN MIX…PISS ON THE TAX BREAKS …THIS IS QUITE CLOSE TO DISCRIMINATION IF IT IS NOT ALREADY! YOU FIGURE IT OUT!
