Absolutely disgusting!! The building has a horrible smell, office staff very rude, and the attitude is horrible. The "Administrator" Teresa, was very rude. She has a bad attitude and acts as if she is much better than everyone else. I have heard that she isn't very welcoming to new staff. I would never think about placing my parents here again. Its sad when you can here residents complaing nonstop.

Theresa does run a tight ship and doesn't have favorites. She treats everyone equally but does expect all of the employees to do what is best for our resident if you didn't like her i would assume it is because you were not doing what was in the best interest of the people we are here to take care of.
I have been at many nursing homes and at times there are bad smells. When at gerald nursing and rehab I have to say that I rarely smell anything bad. The housekeeping staff as well as the nursing staff make sure that the residents as well as the facility are clean and happy. The residents are very happy there and will tell any one that walks in the door how happy they are and that they love it there. They are treated with respect and and are treated like part of the family. They celebrate with the staff on their birthdays, and the staff celebrate with them when they have special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, birth of grandchildren, etc. The residents as well as the staff will tell you that they love working their and love living there. I have to say that the staff does everything in their power to make sure that the residents needs are met, and they do the same for the residents families. I honestly believe that you must have just been their when something had just happened that was out of the ordinary because this facility does not smell and the residents do not complain. Lastly the staff, including the heads of all departments and office staff help out in feeding, toileting, and caring for the residents on a daily basis. I would like to invite you to take a tour of the facility and meet the staff. You will see that what you are saying is not how this facility is.
I am not sure who you are or who your family member is or was. However there has never been a smell in this building and the staff work very well together. As far as the Administrator she is very hands on and helps with meals at least once a day as well as with resident outings and whatever care that is needed. I would be more then glad to speak to you at any time to address any concerns.
