Review of Shorepointe Nursing Center

Although the facility is quite nice, we found the aides are very slow to react to patients needs. We observed them often chit chatting in the hall while patients call buttons were going off. Our father was admitted there twice, staying four weeks each time. One of our major concerns was managing his pain. The first time he was admitted, he went a full day without pain medication after back surgery. We finally had to insist a physician be called at home, and even then it took another two hours to get the prescriptions he had been taking at the hospital filled. our advice is to VERY CLOSELY monitor any loved one staying at Shorepointe.
