Review of Shorepointe Nursing Center

I would never again place a loved one in this facility. Our mother was admitted with the wedding band set she had worn for 60+ years on her finger. We could not take it off for safe-keeping because it was so tight and would not go over her knuckle. We noticed a bruise on her finger one day and assumed she had hit it on her wheelchair; the next day, the diamond ring was gone. It appears that staff tried unsuccessfully to slide the ring off of her finger (thus, bruising it) and then probably brought in clippers and clipped it off the next day. The management was completely unsympathetic when we told them that they have a thief on staff who is preying on elderly, helpless residents. Stay away.
