Review of Wicomico Nursing Home

5 Star User Review

My mother-in-law was a patient at Wicomico for 20 months and received wonderful, attentive care the entire time. The nursing staff clearly knew their patients and cared about them. They informed us any time there was a problem with my mother-in-law, such as when she had an ear infection, and were always available when we called with questions or concerns. My husband and I visited my mother-in-law there at least 3 times each week, and always found the building to be clean and tidy. Many of the staff there have worked there for 15 or 20 years, and it is clear that they love their jobs and the patients. Although my mother-in-law was unable to dress or bathe herself, the staff always made sure she was clean and appropriately dressed. It would have been easier to just leave her in pajamas, but they clearly care about their patients' dignity, and do all that they can to help patients maintain their dignity, even when it means extra work for them. The meals were healthy, and as tasty as low-sodium meals can be; my mother-in-law never had any complaints about the food, even though she was a picky eater. If I could give Wicomico more than 5 stars, I would. I will always be grateful for the excellent care they provided.
