Review of Manorcare Health Services - Potomac

5 Star User Review

I am given to wonder if the low ratings given by others were actually placed by competitors. At 89 years of age, I am a male with a grumpy disposition and with several disabilities I had a hip replacement and entered Potomac Manor Care for rehab. I arrived in pain and trepidation but was immediately cared for in such a professional manner by warm and considerate attendants that my anxiety was dispelled. I knew I was going to be well cared for--and I surely was. It amazed me that the entire staff was consistently warm, pleasant, thoughtful and knowledgeable. Even the person who brought my morning paper came in with a bright and cheerful "Good morning Mr Rodney" and so did the persons who mopped my floor when I spilled stuff. PT, OT and everybody was so beautifully trained and caring and pleasant. The Medical Director is outstanding and somehow they found every request I made as a reasonable one. And I made amazing progress. And when I left Manor care had arranged for the home services I would then require as well as a walker (paid for by Medicare) and other useful items. I cannot imagine what else they could do for me and if my wife or I again need nursing home service that is where we will be. Oh, I should note that my wife has been there for extended stays twice before my turn and her experiences equaled mine. That is a splendid outfit. My name is Bob Rodney--I do not want to submit this annonymously.
