the staff is not very helpful to the patients. when the buzzer is hit for a nurse to come in the room, it takes them over a half-hour. they give an attitude when they have to do anything. when my mother does ask for assistance, which is not that often, she gets comments such as "that's not my job!" when yes it is their job! I have had to say something about her potty being cleaned more than once, she will use it and it will sit there for hours before being emptied. My mother, and some family left the room for almost two hours one day, previously my mother had gotten pee on the sheets, and when they came back the bed was made but it still had the same exact pee soaked sheets on it. These people act like they dont have to do anything but stand around at the nursing stations all day. They knew what they were signing up for when they got the job so they should do it or find another one. I feel so sorry for those elderly patients who dont have someone to be their voice in these kinds of places, they just have to lay there and take the verbal abuse and/or neglect. I cannot put into words how aggravated i am with the staff at this place, i hope this helps to open some eyes and get better, more caring staff in there.
