Review of Viera Health and Rehabilitation Center

5 Star User Review

Nursing staff was very friendly and caring to my husbands needs. Nursing supervisors were very informative and provided me with the education I needed to be able to take my husband home and care for him when it was time to discharge. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the therapy staff, they all had great attitudes and very good at what they do. They motivated my husband and got him back up and walking very quickly. I would recommend this facility to others.

I would surmise your experience was based upon the level of stability of the patient in question upon the time of intake. That facility may be geared towards stronger patients, but for those with special needs the staff falls flat on it's face. Their preference - even though it might amount to two additional hours of "additional work I don't want to do" would be to release patients for return to hospital care but only once the patients have reached a level of critical needs due largely in part to there lack of willingness to offer a full or more finely tuned range of services.

This lack of care, communication, and level of care needed should not qualify this facility as one to receive patients with special needs or those that are in significantly compromised states from the onset.

I am pleased your outcome was better than those who have responded otherwise. The consistency in substandard reporting is enough to warrant a closer review by whatever governing body necessary.
