Just walking through the doors of this place is enough to make you cry. Everything is old and dingy. The rooms are bare-bones, with not even a single picture of a flower anywhere. It's also noisy, with people speaking loudly and music blaring. The furniture is cheap and worn, and the patients look absolutely miserable. There was this one lady in the hallway in her bed yelling at anyone who would listen: "Ayudame!" and no one paid attention to her. The nurses and assistants go about their tasks efficiently enough, but they seem to have that "I'm overworked and underpaid" attitude. I am trying to get my grandmother out of there as fast as I can. She is a woman who is used to her cozy surroundings, her soap operas on TV, her little pillows, frames, etc. and most important of all, people to pay attention to her, and her peace and quiet. The rooms didn't even have a TV.
