My Grandfather suffered a stroke about 5 weeks ago. At 80 years old and with the severity of his stroke, we really didnt think he'd be able to recover use of his right side and regain his speech. After 4 days of laying in a hospital bed and never getting up once, we transfered him to Carmel Mountain Rehabilation Center. After two weeks, he was talking great, feeding himself and even taking steps with a walker. He was released after a month and thanks to the staff, speech therapist and physical therapist there, he is almost fully recovered. We can't thank them enough for accomplishing what seemed to be impossible!
