My grandfather stayed at Winsor for a period of time after he broke his hip and later past away at Mercy Hospital. My mom called to let them know at Winsor we would be by to pick up his belongings, they told her that we would not be able to get his wallet because it was locked in the safe and the only person that had access was not there that day. We explained to them that we were leaving the next morning and that we lived 10 hours away. So they said they would figure it out and to just come in to collect his belongings. When we walked into the facility it reeked of urine, feces and bleach! It was horrible and my mom just broke down and cried. She felt so bad that he was in there and kept saying "no wonder he died". The patients that were in there looked ill cared for and miserable. It was dark and dreary. We collected his 2 bags of cloths and snack, and when we asked for the wallet they said that they still did not have access to it. A blond skinny CNA walked in and said "oh i think it is actually in this bag" and started looking for the wallet. It wasn't there but she implied she saw it. Then they proceeded to tell us that they would mail it to us and wrote it down on the release form that they gave us with it written that they had possession of his wallet and would mail it. About a week and a half after getting home, my mom does not get the wallet and does not hear from them, so she calls and asks what is going on. They cannot find my grandfathers wallet and denies they have it! I cannot believe these people! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE. DO NOT PUT THE ONES YOU LOVE IN THIS PLACE!
