Review of California Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

1 Star User Review

Patient care is secondary to making a profit at CNRC. The staff is poorly trained and unfortunately overworked. Not enough staff to cover the increase in patients. Medical Director doing his best to fill beds by recruiting from local hospital without disclosing his affiliation with CNRC. Staff member stated that since the new administrator started, the don't have any empty beds and did not increase any staff coverage. Staff too busy texting and gossiping about patients in hallway to answer call button. Patients wait over 30 minutes for any response. RN was gossiping to another staff member, right outside of patients room and did not answer call button, I was told it was the CRNs job and that she was an RN. Patient was found unresponsive, low BP and dehydrated, family member had to alert RN. LVN/RN thought patient was sleep and didn't want to disturb to give medication. CNA didn't tell RN that patient wasn't eating or drinking. RNs blame CNAs for everything.
