Terrible facility - especially after the recent ownership change - I've been visiting there for 4 years - definitely a downward trend. Patients suffer under pain, slow response if any when they ask for help, no access to administration for assistance as before. Rose garden, flowers, trees and interesting photos of residents on the walls have been removed recently. There is more office space with the loss of the movie/reading room but for all the staff people at desks, the patients are certainly not receiving the care they deserve.
This is certainly a poor facility run for profit alone as part of a corporation that runs other facilities. I would hope compassion for those who must live here will be considered in the future. Look carefully before you leave anyone you love here.

I think that person with all the complaints came to Crystal Ridge the week they were remodeling. It is true that there have been many changes--all part of a wonderful remodel of the facility. The gardens were redone allowing room for new tables and sun umbrellas so more residents and their families can enjoy the great outdoor areas. Artwork came down only during the time the building interiors were being painted.
The Rehab department has doubled in size, and is the largest in Nevada County. The TV room was moved. Now residents enjoy a new and really large TV for movies and football games, etc.
The administrator is always available and hosts monthly meet-and-greet social events so he can spend even more time with residents and their families. And the staff is both experienced and caring. I think that person should come back for a visit and see the many positive improvements from the remodel and new management.
