As these facilities go (and most of us have an idea of that) this one is not bad. A big PLUS is that it is CLEAN, and there is not the usual bathroom smells that seem to linger in most places. The staff and physical therapists have worked well with our loved one. We are fortunate to have one of us at the facility about 10-12 housr a day and we stay on top of everything, and make sure things get done. The staff, for the mostpart, is responsive to our requests. However, based on what we have witnessed, I would not want my loved one there alone day in and day out….much of the staff seems to need to be "asked", instead of taking care of obvious needs on their own. Our experience is only with the first floor (short term) patients; we are not familiar with the long term care. I am concerned that no one seems to know when visitors come and go. There is rarely somewhat at the front desk and it doesn't appear that there are any security cameras which, in this day and age, seem necessary! I would suggest that anyone needing to place someone in a care situation, at any facility, or in home care, STAY ON TOP OF EVERYTHING that is happening!!! Even if the facility or the caregivers are highly recommended, you really can't be too careful!
