My fathers, who has type 2 diabetes, was served dinner that consisted of a frozen breaded fish patty on a bun, some potato chips, jello, peas, milk and sweet tea. I spoke with his nurse , who explained, that they only have one standard meal. I was supposed to receive a call from their dietician( which i haven't received). The nursing staff is friendly and quick to answer my questions, although, the ones that should have been answering my question, have not been available. Also, some of his personal items came up missing. Seems a lot is done to make their day easier, not for the patience well being.( Blood Sugar goes up. pump insulin. Blood pressure goes up, take another pill.)This has only been day two there and we are looking for another place for him to continue his rehab.
