Neshaminy Manor Home Warrington, Pennsylvania 18976
My mother was there for a rehab stay for several months.
Most of the staff members at Neshaminy are good, some of them are outstanding and go above and beyond to communicate with and help patients and family members.
There are activities including music and crafts provided for the residents. The facility is modern, clean and as cheerful as these places can be.
Like many people suffering from dementia and pain, my mother is a difficult patient. Neshaminy's solution for this was to tranquilize her with Haldol. Once I realized what was going on, I noted that many of the residents there appeared to be heavily tranquilized, to the point of being unable to communicate.
The staff justified this as preventing the residents from hurting themselves. And perhaps they have a point. However other area facilities manage to care for patients, including 'difficult' ones, without keeping them in a drug induced fog.
