My 90 year old Uncle became a patient at Kindred Transitional Care/Forest View Nursing Home in mid November of 2013. When he arrived there he was extremely fragile and unable to even stand up after a hospital stay. After a six week stay and constant high quality care and physical and occupational therapy he has returned to his own home! I did not think this was even possible when he first got there. The staff was compassionate and attentive to him. We are grateful for all the good care he received.

When it became time to admit that my father needed to be in a nursing facility Forest View was the only place I felt comfortable knowing he would receive quality care.

Throughout the years my father has been in and out of rehabilitations in MANY different facilities. I can say that some of them horrified me and others were ok for short term but would not consider for long term. The first time he went to Forest view I was very impressed with the surroundings and the friendliness of the staff. They kept me well informed as to my father’s progression in his treatment. He is not the easiest person to get along with however; the staff always treated him with respect and kindness always.

When it got to the point that he could no longer live on his own, this was the only place I knew that could handle his needs and personality. Everyone from nursing to cleaning staff do an outstanding job with him and I can't speak more highly of his social worker. They always keep me in the loop with all that is going on with him whether it is bad or good. The atmosphere does not feel like your average nursing facility, it feels more like an extended home. Everyone knows the patients name and will take the time to say "hello, how are you doing?" They respond the same way to family members. My father has been there for over two years now and it gives me great comfort to know that he is in a safe and nurturing environment.
