Review of The Terraces at Skyline

2 Star User Review

Valuable wedding rings stolen while our grandmother was a resident of the Terraces at Skyline.

Our Grandmother had been a resident of Presbyterian Retirement Communities Northwest since 2003 first at Exeter House and then at the Terraces at Skyline in 2009 when it opened. She died in late 2011.

This crime was reported to the Seattle Police Department and they are investigating the theft. This incident is also being investigated by the Washing state Department of Health and Human services (DSHS) and the King County Long Term Care Ombudsman program. We have recently learned that DSHS is citing Skyline for this incident by not following several proper procedures one of which is not calling the police themselves after it was discovered the rings were missing.

We would encourage anyone considering Skyline as a residence for your loved one to carefully inventory anything of value and check frequently to see if it is missing. We know we may never see the rings again and our only hope is that knowledge of our unfortunate experience prevents another resident of the Terraces at Skyline from becoming a victim.
