I had my dad go here for rehabiiltation after he was hospitalized. The intake process was thorough and freindly. They smiled, had a sense of humor and showed they really cared. Therapy was great, and although my dad did not want to participate somtimes, they took the time to get to know what motivates him and encouraged him to do what he needed to do. Nursing always took the time to answer my questions and explain things thoroughly. It is because of nursing and all the staff, that I am giving the highest marks to Life Care Center of Kirkland. The discharge process was very comprehensive. My Dad wanted to continue to live on his own, but needed a lot of assistance. They arranged for everything and then gave me a list of all the contacts and servies that my dad received. I just can't say enough about all of the good things this faciltiy has done for me and my dad. If I ever need rehabilitation services again, I will choose this facility.

This is a facility that is so wrong…on soo many levels. My dad is there.

Medical : He has gotten 3 uti's, phenomena, dehydration, and open wounds on his bum, and the back of his neck. He has fallen 3 times, all requiring ER visit's and staples to his head. Left on the toilet for over 20 minutes with his bell ringing and staff members sitting around the desk flirting.

Personal: Lack of showering,( one time for three weeks, (because he kept saying 'no' ) Really! I thought he was smelling a little so I decided to change his clothes. I had to PEEL his socks off his feet! Chunks of skin combing off with them! Holy Crap! He's very easily re-directed. Changing clothes, bedding, etc. I picked him up the other day to take him to the doctors. Wet pants, no depends on and wet all the way down to his socks and inside his shoes!

Financial: They just hijacked his SS! They had him sign a paper (he has altimierz) which resulted in his checks being deposited in an account they opened for him! (Which they deny) Without my knowledge!

Why you ask… because he's medicaid! My father served our country, worked his whole life, served others in charitable works. The ending has been a sequence of trusting the wrong people who took everything he had, which has left him with nothing. So he is stuck. Stuck in a place that doesn't care two hoots about the people that are supposed to care for him. Only about how much money they'll get for each one.

It makes me so sad that this is where he will spend the remainder of his days. If you can avoid this place…do it.

I went to this facility for after I developed an infection in my diabetic ulcer. Both my doctor and myself were very impressed with the wound care I received. By the time I left, this chronic wound was better than it had been in several months. This is a highly skilled team! I can't adequately express my gratitude for the very attentive care I received.

I can't express in words how greatful I am for the care my husband received at this facility. He had a knee replacement and received intensive therapy that enabled him to return home quickly. The staff were so attentive and caring. It is a beautiful and well ran facility.

My Grandfather came into this facility very sick. The staff from the Admissions Director to the CNA's to the Nurses & Doctors were all very compassionate and wonderful! The Life Care staff was able to properly diagnose a severe infection that the hospital missed, and my grandfather was able to leave the facility healthy again!

I would highly recommend this facility!

This facility was a wonderful experience for myself and my mother. She recently broke fer hip and had a significant wound as a result of this injury. The staff at Life Care Center of Kirkland did a miraculous job at healing her wound and getting her strong enough to go back home again. I am for ever greatful.

My mother went to this facility after she broke her hip. From the day of admission, I was so impressed with their care. The staff are so kind and friendly. They were always there when we needed them. Therapy was excellent and they soon got my mom back on her feet and walking again. This is a very active facility that provides excellent rehabilitation.

In my opinion, these places border on useless. This is the second one that I had to spend time in and it will definitely be the last!! I received no therapy, the resident physician (whom I never saw) took it on himself to change the prescription my cardiologist had given me - the reason for my being in this facilithy had no connection whatever with cardo-vascular issues - it was a knee replacement - and it was a day and a half before a

physical therapist even came to see me. All in all - a waste of my time and

Medicare money.

My father entered this facility healthy but recovering from hip surgery. Less than 3 weeks later he was back in the hospital in critical condition because he was so severely dehydrated, had a severe UT infection, and was not expected to survive the care he had received at this facility. They called him uncooperative and clearly never had a medical expert look at why he was unable to wake up enough to participate in therapy. His blood levels were worse than the hospital doctors had ever seen and we've been questioned over and over on how this could have happened at any "skilled nursing facility".

The staff has zero communication between groups. No one person is able to answer more than one question. There is a good reason why they insist upon a signature on an "arbitration agreement" at admission.

We are still waiting to see if my father will achieve better than a 10% recovery of his cognitive abilities after the serious event he suffered there. They did have the audacity to send a teddy bear to the hospital for him. It's now an advertisement for how he nearly died.
