Review of Draper Rehabilitation and Care Center

5 Star User Review

We have been very pleased with Draper Rehab and Care. My mother, age 91, fell and fractured her pelvis. We originally anticipated a 2-3 month stay. She received therapy 5 days a week by tender and caring professionals and made remarkable progress. After 4 weeks she began to walk and after 5 weeks we were able to bring her home.

The atmosphere is pleasant. This is not the newest facility we considered. But, the staff came across very attentive and caring, and proved to be so in practice. There were a couple of times when we felt attention was needed and brought it to the attention of the staff or management. They were very responsive.

There are optional activities almost every day. We also appreciated the fact that an LDS branch is located in the facility and that Relief Society is held each Thursday. There are services for other denominations also.

At one point a patient arrived who was very discourteous to the others during meal time, very loud, very offensive. After the first meal together, she was invited to eat in her room. She still wandered out and caused a commotion. Within a day she was gone. The staff seems to be very tuned in to the environment, making it pleasant.

One criticism. Dinner tends to be late by 30+ minutes quite often. But, the patients visit with each other in the cafeteria while waiting.

We will not hesitate to bring mother back if further rehab or care is needed.
