Review of Prestonwood Rehabilitation & Nursing Center Inc

1 Star User Review

Beautiful building but that's apparently where their money is being spent. Nurses aides are barely trained and they seem woefully understaffed there on the week-ends. My wife was there two months after having a stroke and so I believe I've got a good feel for the place. Administration is patronizing about any incidents where they are at fault. About the only quality service is the physical therapy portion in which I think they give a good effort but seems to be used often to showcase the facility to prospects. No PT on week-ends and shuts down early on Friday. Cannot recommend unless you need something close.

I'm so sorry that we did not meet your expectations for care and service, and that our response to your concerns seemed patronizing. We strive our best to continually improve and we appreciate your feedback.

To address the concerns you mention here:

All of our Nurses Aides have been trained and Certified by the State of Texas. We conduct a new employee orientation, have a peer-mentoring program and all employees are required to attend inservice training meetings monthly and as needed.

Department managers strive to resolve concerns and complaints as soon as they arise. Our Administrator follows-up to ensure that concerns are resolved in a timely and complete manner.

Our Physical Therapy program has been enhanced and expanded since your wife's stay with us. Our therapists now see patients from 7:30am to 6:30pm Monday through Friday. We have a therapist who sees patients on Saturday and two therapists on call to evaluate any patients admitted over the weekend. All of our therapy is conducted on a one on one basis.

Thank you again for your feedback. I'm sorry my response has been delayed, having just found this website and your concern.

Sincerely,

Susan
