Review of Winters Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

This place is terrible. My mother went there after major surgery to her leg. After surgery there was a chance that she could have a clot. Well she did get a clot in her leg and her feet turned ice cold and dark blue as the circulation had stopped in that foot. She called to tell the nurse that her feet were cold and instead of checking on her leg they turned off her air and walked out. She was in the hospital within 24 hours and had hervleg amputated. The amputation was not their fault but she suffered in great pain until I got there and asked them to call an ambulance. Several days later, I went to get her things. They lost her wheelchair and several items of clothing. I called the administrator and have yet to hear back from her.

Also, they have a 1 star with Medicare. The new place we have her at has a 5 star with Medicare. You can always check the rating of a nursing home on the Medicare website. STAY away from Winters Park!!!!
