This place is going down hill at a high rate of speed. I see the Certified Nurses Aides ignoring residents and turning their head and pretending they didn't see them or hear them. Chair alarms going off in other rooms and not a sole going to see if a resident has fallen or in trouble. A drink spilled on the floor and they all walk around it vs. cleaning it up. Call lights going off for so long that you would think the place was vacant. Family members are regularly helping other residents, because we can't ignore them like the rest of the staff does. And the majority of the staff doesn't speak English well enough for the family members to understand, so how are the elderly suppose to understand them. The lack of respect toward the residents is unbelievable and the staff has forgotten why they are there. If it is an inconvenience to help a resident, then you don't need to be there! If you are not active in the day to day care of your loved one, then this is not the place for them. Even day to day involvement will start to break you down. The Administrator rarely comes out of her office and doesn't ever address family members or residents. She feels her reports and budgets are the reason she is there. At night, the aides and nurses sleep in the lobby or guest dinning room. How do they answer call lights or know if residents are okay if they don't do rounds and sleep instead? They don't! What a lose of a good facility.
