I have observed this facility in operation and feel strong efforts are being made there to become one of the better facilities in caring for residents.
There is always room for improvement and I feel there is a team effort there.
Area's of concern:
Some residents are having to stay in bed too long. They need to be up and moving.
Some of the nursing assistants are not using the new lifts. Liability issue.
Outsourcing is not the way to go in order to control cost for the facility and residents. There is too much waste in inventory. Outsourced staff is under paid creating high turnover and negative attitudes toward staff and residents. Account Manager is overly controlling towards primary staff at the facility and unorganized. Spends too much time on clock taking care of personnell business and communicating with residents. More focus needs to be on checking employees and performing accurate quality control inspections.
