Upon interviewing with Manor Care was promised a 10-1 ratio of Nurses & Aids. The ratio was more like 30-1 at night. And 20-1 in the day. The Aids have no training and were reckless, ignorant of proper care and just not qualified : repeatedly rolling over oxygen tubes and catheters when moving my father in a wheel chair; moving him in bed was rough and careless; And two times in one evening my fathers oxygen was not working and they were at fault. First the tubing was disconnected accidentally when moving from wheelchair to bed. So then an extension tube was put on to avoid that happening again. But no one checked the tubing. No air was getting through the tube. The following morning I got a call that my Dad needed to be taken to a hospital via ambulance do to a tacky heart rate. I and am positive the circumstance of events that night (no oxygen for hours at a time) led to his cardiac arrest. This facility would only be suitable for "putting one out to pasture" as you do with aging horses that don't need care. If your loved one needs more than a meal dropped off 3 times a day you need to go elsewhere. No stars would be accurate but the review template would not go through without at least one.
