Care at this facility is average, at best. The nursing staff and nursing assistants staff seems to be too small to properly care for the patients. They are no where to be found when you need them. The nursing assistants seem to be particularly inept. My father was admitted to this facility after a fall from his garage roof. He has a fractured vertebrae in his lower back. He has been here for just a few days and already has missed a day of being washed and having his clothes changed. He is wearing a brace to keep his back stabilized. Nursing assistants this evening attempted to remove his brace improperly, then claimed that they did not know how to remove it when approached by us. Also, this afternoon, my father needed to use a bedpan. We pressed the call button as instructed, but no one came. I had to walk down the hall to request assistance. Once the nurses aid arrived, she gave him the bed pan and left the area, telling us to call her with the call button when he finished. Needless to say, she once again did not come. I had to go to the front desk again to request help. I was told to find the nurse and request that he find the nurses aid. My father sat there with his dirty bedpan for at least 10 minutes. This is embarrassing for him and unacceptable.
Physical therapy and occupational therapy here seem to be good, but patient care with dignity seems to be lacking.
Can't wait to get my dad out of here..
