Woodhaven was a horrible place. It would take them at least two or more hours to answer call bells with the family in the room. They would not take my mother to the bathroom which caused her to have incontinent episodes. many times she had to change herself because help would never come. She ended up falling one night trying to take herself to the restroom because they did not come to help her and it resulted in the beginning of her demise. Also they never informed us about issues she was having with her swallowing. She was also having heart issues that we were never told about. When we moved her to another facility a few days after her fall which resulted in a broken foot, the other facility noticed that her pulse oxygen level was in the 80's which meant that she needed oxygen. I just wonder how long she went like that, I know that she told us that they never checked it at woodhaven. She ended up going into the hospital a few days after we had moved her because of her low pulse oxygen level and slow heart rate. She died at the hospital. When she was at the hospital we found out that woodhaven had known about her heart and swallowing problems for months but had not informed us. My mother was only 57 years old when she died!
