Review of Langhorne Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center

1 Star User Review

I recently removed my mother from Langhorne Gardens & I'm so glad I did. First of all don't believe them if they tell you your loved one has to leave because their insurance won't pay. My mother went there under her Blue Cross for rehab services. When it was decided that rehab wasn't working & her dementia was getting worse they gave me six days to get her out over a holiday weekend which shortened my time to four working days. I later found out through the ombudsman that was illegal. Once someone is admitted they can't be kicked out.

My other gripe was the day I went to visit Mom & found her sitting with her pants below her butt in a pool of urine & a big puddle under her wheel chair on the floor. This occurred in the dining room in front of the nurses' station. I kept my cool & went up to the nurses to tell them what I had found & they just thanked me. I took Mom back to her room & cleaned her up myself with no help from the staff until Mom's bed alarm went off & a CNA came in to turn it off. I must say I found the CNA's to be very sweet & helpful.

The day I took Mom out no one even bothered to help me wheel her out or help me to get her into the car, but, I guess that's because I said I could handle it. I do think they should have made sure she got out safely anyway.
