Review of Garden Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

1 Star User Review

This facility is the worst rehab facility ever. My mother has been there not even a week and she is being treated like shit. The nursing staff acts like they don't care about the patients. Patients ring the light for help and it may take up to and even longer than an hour to get any type of response. My father has gone to the nurses station and ask for help for my mother and no one has showed or they come after he has taken her to the restroom himself. What are they getting paid to do? I had to go in and wash my mothers hair, because it smelled. I took a washing basin and shampoo and washed her hair. When I was almost finished the staff came in and ask her if she wanted a shower. She had been there for two days at this time. They seem like they don't give medications on schedule. I would never recomend this facility to anyone. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS TO THIS FACILITY. THE 4 STAR RATING IS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!! Paitents do not get phones in their rooms. The staff doesn't listen to the paitents. The Doctor came in and acted like he was in a hurry. He only half listened to our concerns. Everyone says " I'm going to get to the bottom of this " and never do. The head nurse is always to busy to address my mothers concerns. Whom ever he or she may be we have never seen them.

By what my mother has said and complained about this facility, I would have to agree with this person's argument of the type of treatment residents are recieving and the attention not being given to their needs. My mother has complained about the same types of treatment as the above reviewer and not only that, but she has evidence of mistreatment and careless treatment as well. She has been treated careless at this facility since day one. Not only did the physical therapists carelessly assist her by allowing her to fall on her knees during rehabilation, in which she aquired a busted knee cap (she wasn't able to walk then and still isn't able to walk), but just a few weeks ago she complained that a 'fill-in' CNA caused her to have a sprang foot by not administering caution and care while preparing to give my mother a 'once a week' bath/shower. Eventhough my mother told her she was doing it the wrong way, the assistant ignored the complaint and continued pushing my mother's foot into the bath stall wall. These are just a few of the mis -treatments that have occurred to my mother since her residence at this facility Now tell me how can this faciltiy still get a "4" star rating with this kind of abuse! I think there should be further invetigations into their practices and not just for a day!

I really liked Four Seasons of Dayton. It is a small facility and very personable my Dad was there for about 2 months and he would go back. Some of the other nursing homes around Four Seasons may be prettier but this place have a "homie" feel to it, it wasn't like a "nursing home".
