My aunt was at Croasdaile Village in the Pavillion section. She moved there from the independent section (she began losing her memory and had to move to the stepped up care part). She liked the independent part but hated the Pavillion.
She got the norovirus and almost died. The entire Croasdaile facility was closed down for a month and under quarantine for the virus. The patients were isolated that whole time and couldn't have any visits from anyone. During that time my aunt wasn't fed regularly. They would bring the food tray into the room, then take it out again without checking to see if any food had been eaten. My aunt hadn't even realized the tray was there, sitting on a table in the room.
We moved her to another Durham nursing home. She's very happy now.
