Review of Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation

3 Star User Review

I thought the physical therapy offered was very good, got two sessions on the weekdays, curtailed session on Saturday. CNA's during the day were very good. I thought food was adequate, not gourmet, but not terrible.

Bed was more like a cot. If you happen to be in the bed nearer the radiator during the heating season be prepared to feel like you are being grilled. Also, I see they boast flat screen TVs, be aware they don't have separate "listening" devices, so if you have a roomate, and they happen to be hard of hearing, forget about it.

Real downside of this place is the nursing. I suspected I received the wrong medication and got extremely ill. I called for help, and was basically ignored. Head of the nursing department (male) is arrogant, and did not want to hear my complaint. He was EXTREMELY disrespectul to me.

Night is covered by CNA's that, if present, are sleeping in the hall. Difficult to get assistance overnight from ANYONE.

In summation, physical therapy is good. I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.
